Big feelings, like anxiety, are worse when you fight them.

It's natural as a parent to want to redirect your child when they are feeling anxiety, anger, or other uncomfortable, negative emotions.  However, this can actually feed them, making them worse.  I found a way to help my child identify and work through her big feelings, but it took me looking at myself before it worked.
